David H. Charlip, B.C.S. Florida Civil-law Notary
Founder & Co-Director

David H. Charlip is an attorney admitted to practice in the jurisdictions of Florida and New Jersey for over 39 years. He is a Florida Board Certified Civil Trial lawyer, a Florida Civil Law Notary, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and a Florida Supreme Court Approved Arbitrator. As the founder and CEO of CLNAA, and the creator of the concept of civil law notarial arbitration, Charlip brings a wealth of credibility, experience and education to the administration and supervision of CLNAA and the concept of civil law notarial arbitration.

Mr. Charlip has also managed and litigated cases across the country in states such as Florida, California, Washington, Missouri, South Dakota, New York, Wyoming, Nevada, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Illinois, Maine, Louisiana, and New Hampshire, to name a few. He has also participated in many arbitrations in various areas such as international, commercial, consumer, securities, healthcare, maritime and insurance.

Mr. Charlip received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida with Honors where he was the Executive Editor of the University of Florida Law Review. He is admitted to both the Florida and New Jersey Bar, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, including Trial Bar, Middle District of Florida, District of New Jersey, and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Charlip is the author of numerous scholarly articles and has a nationwide reputation after being quoted frequently in national publications and major news media.
